This week we read Eric Carle's Does a Kangaroo Have a Mother, Too? The children LOVED this book!! We used these cute flash cards, Mudpuppy Mothers And Babies Flash Cards Multi, to learn the names of the animal babies in the book, as well as others.
We were not at all creative in crafts for this book... and I found that neither was Pinterest nor my other usual sources. But we did a little bit of coloring and a little painting and then spent hours outside in the gorgeous fall sun. As it should be!
We put these kangaroos on large craft sticks to make puppets, but forgot to take a picture.
Friday found us with just two two-year-olds and a one-year-old.
While he napped, the older ones tried out our new bean bags...
The heart and soul of our playschool is lots and lots of outside play and adventure.
Soon the weather will get colder and colder until our outside time will be limited,
so we intend to enjoy it as long and as much as possible!
