Weak

Bunny and I have been sick since Saturday. Being sick and having a sick one year old on top of morning sickness and the normal tiredness of pregnancy is pretty rough. Thankfully I had Mama and The Hubs around to take care of us, since I was pretty much useless. Last evening I was finally able to eat a little without feeling worse. This morning Bunny and I woke up late (as in 9:00). Whoops! When we finally got up and moving I felt pretty good. We went through our normal morning just fine. I got a little worn out just before nap time. I rested and now I am feeling pretty much normal. Just weak. It is good to be back.

The Three Amigos

Our first daycare children.
Three little boys.
Eleven months apart, each.
Now 5, 4, and 3.
They have a special place in our hearts.

Please say a prayer for Hannah--she not only has her normal morning sickness, which she feels so blessed to have actually, but she has a nasty stomach virus...  Thanks!

Barefoot And Pregnant

36 & 6

6 Weeks~

7/13/11

I threw up for the first time of this pregnancy today. I drank some water after brushing my teeth this morning and it didn't agree with me. Much better than throwing up breakfast though. I have been doing good on eating well and now that I got my new Ergo Carrier (Best thing ever. Put it off way too long.), Mama and I will be going for a long walk every evening before Bunny's bedtime. I now weigh less than I did when I got pregnant with Bunny (still not great, but getting there). Meagan is having her visit with My Ruth (midwife) this evening and I am going to pop in. So excited to see Ruth and Leila (midwife assistant who I used to take Karate classes with when I was 14 haha). I love my life!

7/14/11

We saw Ruth last evening. I love her as much as always. Leila couldn't make it, but should be there next time. Today was rough. I started spotting after nursing Bunny and again when I nursed her later. That combined with starting to get that "hit by a mac truck" exhaustion, and the Hubs finding out that there might be cut backs at work and he should start looking for a new job (Ahh!). It was altogether a very stressful day. Feeling better. Not spotting now, just tired. Very tired. Still doing good on the Brewer's Diet and I feeling healthy over all. Will be seven weeks tomorrow!

An Enchanted Childhood--Recent Weeks

We have been far too busy taking nature walks, playing in the creek, and visiting the garden to do much of any "inside" activities.  But we have been learning how to classify various animals... birds--have feathers and lay hard eggs, mammals--give live birth and nurse their babies, reptiles--have dry scaly skin and laid hard eggs, amphibians--live in the water when they are little and on land when they are big, and lay "jelly" eggs, insects--bugs with six legs (not to be confused with spiders with eight legs), and fish--live in the water and lay jelly eggs (not the most sophisticated classifying, but hey these Littles are ages 1-5.)

We have read many, many books about the various animals and sang songs with props such as finger puppets (Five Green and Speckled Frogs and Six Little Ducks..) and stuffed animals.. the awesome birds from the Audubon society.  We have observed many animals in their natural habitat (frogs, insects, salamanders, crabs, minnow...) bringing some inside for "one sleep".

Following are a few pictures of some of the activities we have done over the past few weeks.

Barefoot And Pregnant

5 Weeks~

7/1/11

Had the day off, so I spent it deep cleaning the back half of the house. I am trying to get things ready for me to be too tired to do anything. It was great to get to announce my pregnancy. Early bed time tonight.

7/2/11

Went shopping. Then made a huge list of all the things we need to do around the house. So tired. We ask Bunny if she wanted a brother or a sister. The first time, she said brother and the next time, she said sister. I guess she will have to wait to know with the rest of us.

7/5/11

Back to work today. Busy weekend, but lots of fun. Tired but good.

7/7/11

I have been so busy this week. Found out that I get to see My Ruth (Midwife) next week. Not for me, but for Meagan. She finally made up her mind and is going through with a homebirth! I am feeling pretty good just a little tired in the evenings, but amazingly, Bunny has fallen in love with her papa and wants him a good bit. She is still nursing, though I am starting to get sore at times. I will be 6 weeks tomorrow!

Eat, Slurp, Bathe

Bunny loves to eat... whole wheat spaghetti with organic sauce, watermelon, and organic milk were on the menu, so this was most definitely a no shirt dinner!

She has the "slurp the spaghetti act " perfected!

And there was only one place to go after that dinner... straight from highchair to Nana's kitchen sink.

Clean again... until the next messy meal (Did you see that blueberry face in a previous post? ha.)
