Enchanted Childhood Preschool ~ The Letter T

I am a few weeks behind on our weekly preschool posts.  The Letter T was a short week, with spring break starting that Thursday (before Easter).

Tuesday we made Triangle collages!  Anytime glue sticks are involved it is a good day for the children!

Heading into our Earth Day celebrations, the children made Truffula Trees!

Classroom Capers!

Another seasonal activity I made for the children-

Hopefully I will get the Letter U as well as Earth Day Fun posted soon!

Each week I join several linky parties! What a fun way to share and learn!

Shivery Shores

This child...
This child LOVES her beach. Whether the weather.

While the rest of us ( and by us, I mean everyone else on the beach) were
wrapped up tight in our sweaters, she stripped down to swim the tide pools.

Little sister tried to join her, but she barely got her toes wet before changing her mind.

After watching for a few moments, she came back for her pants and a snuggle to get warm.

But Bunny, though typically more sensitive than Squirrely, wasn't bothered at all by the chilly temps.

"Mama, I'm a mermaid!"

Warmth is something I strive for. I am always making sure we all have enough layers. But this child... She teaches me to relax a little. To not freak out and just have fun sometimes.
To let it go... The cold never bothered her anyway.

Enchanted Childhood Preschool ~ S is for Soooo Many Things

Last week I complained about the Letter Q.... this week I am disturbed by the Letter S.  Q is sooooo limited in the activities we can do... S, on the other hand, has sooooo much potential and I only have four days... I started with a very long list (squirrel, salamander, seasons, sun, shark, skunk, spring....)  and had to settle on Square, Snake, Seurat, Sea Turtle, and Seed.

These kids were excited about the Letter S!!

S is for Snake!

These three part Sea Turtle Life Cycle cards were perfect for "S" week!

Very sweet book about Sea Turtles!

S is for Seed!

We inspected (and even ate) all sorts of seeds.
The children were delighted to see such a tiny tiny carrot seed.

We then planted some bean seeds, in hopes of watching them germinate!

We incorporate many "Letter of the Week" activities in the classroom!

Seurat
We read a book and matched up some three part cards of his paintings!

Shapes

We practiced counting "S" items

Some letter writing!

Each week we have new work in the classroom. We spruced up some old favorites, making things look "springy"!  The dry pouring beans were replaced with pretty beads.   We brought back out the velcro sticks and the frog identification work. We changed the colors in the pattern blocks.

A new work is this color grading activity.

Another new seasonal activity was this Easter Egg matching upper and lower case letters work!

Other Classroom Fun!
