An Enchanted Childhood Playschool ~ May 14th-18th

This week, we continued with the weather theme (since we have had some extreme fluctuations in this late spring weather)!  Along with singing all our favorite weather songs, we read What's the Weather?  After finding out that gray clouds are full of rain, we did a little art project. We mixed black and white paints to make gray and then painted gray clouds, adding a few fluffy cotton-ball clouds for some texture!

We also played with our white, glittery playdough (think CLOUDS)
and blue glass pebbles (think RAIN DROPS).

Check out the new (used) blocks we got... castle blocks!

The rest of the week was gorgeous, so you know where we were!

Taking a little break to chat with the chickens!

A colony/swarm/pod of butterflies.. they circled the children as we walked along!
Very magical!

Friends!

Eating spinach and kale straight out of the garden!

The first carrots of the summer!

And lots and lots of Creek Play!!

And a 34 week belly!!

  4. Wherever you live it looks beautiful! And I love that you already have carrots in the garden! The weather activities you did are PERFECT for toddlers and preschoolers alike! I'm always struggling to find activities that will be suitable for both age groups. I'm visiting from the Weekly Kids Co-op. Thanks for linking up!

  5. Your spinach looks amazing! I was just (as in last week) wondering if it was too late to try growing spinach in Houston--I think garden-fresh spinach would be delicious! I'm so glad you linked up at Teach Me Tuesday!!
