We have been asked many times to write up our "lesson plans" so others could use them. Honestly, we just spend a little time thinking about how we want the "school year" to look and go from there. We wing-it a lot, doing impromptu things that add to our plans. I am always amazed that anyone would think what we do is worthy of writing down for others to read, but here it goes!
We had a few rainy days this past week, so we did some weather activities!! We sang several weather related songs, from Raffi's Mr Sun to Mother Goose's It's Raining, It's Pouring!
We sang our own weather song with the hand motions!
(sang to the tune of Oh My Darling Clementine)
What's the weather? What's the weather? What's the weather like today?
Tell me children, what's the weather? What's the weather like today?
Is it sunny? Is it rainy? Is it snowy out today?
Is it cloudy? Is it windy? What's the weather like today?
We then used crayons to draw some "weather" and then added weather stickers to our pictures!
We also made Mother's Day gifts on Friday! Siblings made their flowers on the same paper!
(One brother and sister left before we took pictures)
Nana made sure Bunny made mama a gift and even added a Squirrel sticker to represent the new little one!
And OF COURSE we had lots of OutSide PlayTime!!
Fun weather projects! Love those handprint flowers!
