Crafting Along With needle and thREAD

An quick afternoon project: a playmat

Bunny loves to play wth my little sister's old Polly Pockets. We do NOT enjoy cleaning them up, though. This playmat makes it sooo much easier to do a quick job of cleaning up all the teeny little pieces!

Here is the tutorial for the playmat bag that I made.

But, I was lazy and just cut out two large circles of fabric.  I sewed them front to front (leaving room to turn it rightside out) and top stitched around, closing the hole as I went.  Then I used my buttonhole maker (which gave me fits for a while) to make the holes. I used ribbon for the drawstring and put large beads on the end of the ribbon, to keep from losing it when the mat is laid out... Didn't take long either!

I am tying up loose ends in the nesting department (I am 38.5 weeks) and only reading a few blogs here and there. No books. Except Bunny's books. Lots of them. She does love to be read to!

  1. Such a great idea-I've struggled tidying Polly Pocket and similar dolls due to the number of pieces.
