Fairy Finders & Eco-Kids Tuesday

Over the past few weeks, every nice day we get, we go fairy finding (If I say Fairy hunting Bunny freaks out and thinks we are going to shoot fairies). We know all the places to look. In every knot on every tree and many other places along the way.

On this particular day, it was quite windy and we almost got blown away!

Good thing we have each other to hold onto.

We slushed about it puddles and explored all around. All the while still searching for fairies.

Finally, after no fairy finding luck, we decided to make a fairy house instead.
We gathered all our supplies...

Then took them inside to work with as the rain started to fall.

It took a bit of creative thinking and some trial and error, but we eventually figured it out. Monkey Boy took it home with him because he claimed that the fairies needed a place to go in town. Bunny let him because he promised to help her make another one someday soon.

Perhaps we will never really find a fairy. But I pray we never stop looking. For it is only then that they cease to be real. Only then that they can never be found. The real magic of fairies is in the belief of them.
The real find is in the search.

  1. Thanks for featuring my post on saving money with baby! This week I posted on how to make sure the organic or heirloom seeds you buy this gardening season are not inadvertently supporting Monsanto and GMOs.

    Thanks for hosting!

  4. Thank you so much for hosting - I love your fairy finding. There are some pixies in Grandma and Grandpa's wood that we have to visit regularly - although sometimes the pixie Queen comes to us when we are in a fix ;-) - Alice @ Mums Make Lists

  6. I love the idea of hunting for fairies. My friend always tells Goblin that we are hunting a gruffalo when we go for walks in the woods, but he gets a bit freaked out by that, I think he could probably handle fairies though.
