An Enchanted Childhood Playschool: February 4th-8th ~ Winter Birds

It was a different kind of week...
with snow days and sick days...

But I did take pictures on Monday of our little Circle Time.

We sang several songs!

Five Little Animals counting song!

We end the singing with this song to lead into story time...

Open and shut them.
Open and shut them.
Give a little clap!

Open and shut them.
Open and shut them.
Lay them in your lap!

Close your mouths...

And open your ears...

(He is telling one of the girls to be quiet!)

And listen to the story.

We end Circle Time with this sweet verse from Seasons of Joy!

Scamper like a squirrel!
March like a gnome!

Fly like a bird as he soars to his home!
Stand straight and tall,
Rooted like a tree.

Stretch to the sun!
Now shake hands with me.

This week was supposed to be Winter Birds.
We had all sorts of cute ideas for crafts... but life happened.

We did do one cute fingerprint bird craft!

See the Cardinals and Blue Jays!

The children also played with snow.

And the oldest practiced his scissor skills!

So, despite being closed for two days due to sickness, we still had a good week!
