Squirrely seems to be waking up from that newborn stage. She has preferences and opinions and knows what she wants. She likes to be held or at least set somewhere that she can see all the goings on. She still loves to nurse. Especially in the evening. She tanks up all evening, then sleeps a 4 or 5 or 6 hour stretch at night. She is growing well, too. She has all but outgrown most of her newborn sized cloth diapers, and her newborn shirts are starting to show her belly.
Bunny has moved into the big sister role quite well. First thing when she wakes up, she has to say good morning to her baby. She loves to hold her hand and "help" take care of her. It is pretty sweet. I still have to remind her to be gentle from time to time, but she is getting better about remembering on her own.

What kind of newborn cloth diapers did you use? I need ideas for getting Cash in cloth until he fits the toddler size prefolds I have. I'm thinking of just cutting up some scraps and using a Snappi or something...
ReplyDeleteI have quite an assortment of newborn and small diapers (as well as larger) ... when my mama found out she was getting two grandbabygirls in a matter of two months (Bunny and her seven week younger cousin) she went a little crazy buying all sorts of new and used pockets, AIOs, and fitteds.
DeleteI am using tiny gdiapers and just taking old receiving blankets and wraping MF towels for inserts...When we r done hubby can have them for "car towels"
ReplyDeleteI have some gdiapers, but they seem to rub a little on the sides inside. Did you find that also? And I should probably know this, but what are MF towels? :)
DeleteMia-- MF is micro fiber. Some people love them. Not me. lol What about buying small prefolds to use now as dipes and later as extra inserts in the bigger prefolds you have?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Hannah! Yes, I might end up doing that with small prefolds. Have you found a good source online for prefolds?
DeleteShe's so cute!! I'm looking into the cloth diapers for my newborn as well. I like hearing other mom's experiences with them. Thanks for linking up with Mommy Moments Monday!
