Enchanted Childhood Playschool ~ May 13th-17th ~ All in a Day

All in a Day!
Join us on one day's adventures and discoveries outside!

We started off the adventure with a walk through the big field to Poppaw John's Garden.

Two different empty eggshells, one from a Robin and the other is unknown... for now,
but we will definitely be researching it!

The organic pea plants are growing up the fence and the other veggies are just peeking through the ground.

Poppaw John has various lettuces, beet greens, and onions ready to eat!
We gathered some lettuce and greens for a salad.

Two of the children love the onions and ate three each!

These beds contain onions for storage, rhubarb, and asparagus.

Buddies!

After visiting the garden, we made our way back through part of the field,
stopping to check out the creek.

Which led to the 1st Big Creek Day of the year!!

Crabbing is a BIG deal to some of the children!
Though scooping up a dead crab isn't quite as exciting!

While at the creek, the children visited with the hens and ducks.

And then headed home for lunch that included their very own hand-picked salad!

So many adventures, so much fun, in a two hour period!

Each week I join several linky parties!  What a fun way to share and learn!

  2. How wonderful! I wish I had all of those nature experiences to offer my students, but it's tough for us desert-dwellers. We have our chickens and the garden will be seeing some serious improvement this year, but all that green makes me miss my home in Pennsylvania!

  3. You certainly packed a lot into 2 hours! What wonderful activities for the children to do. I can see they have so much fun with nature as their playground. Thanks for sharing with Country Kids.
