Eco-Kids Tuesday

Bunny was sick yesterday ... the nasty, throwing up kinda sick.  She's a trooper and was pleasant and so grown up about it.  She napped a lot and watched various movies throughout the day. (for me it is all about balance when it comes to screen time)  Baby Sister missed having her to play with and would pull herself up to the couch and fuss until Bunny would talk to her.  I love the love they share!

Since Bunny was sick, Nana decided it was a good time to make juice jigglers, using grass-fed gelatin.  Inspired by recipes linked here at Eco-Kids Tuesday, she warmed three cups of juice.  While that was warming, she mixed 1/4 cup gelatin with another cup of juice and let in sit for a minute.  Then she removed the pan from the heat and mixed it all together.  After pouring it into a 9X13 glass baking dish, she refridgerated it for a few hours.  It cut nicely into jiggler cubes and tasted great!

Bunny appreciated the treat!

Each week I am amazed at how much I am learning from the bloggers that share their links with us!
Thanks so much to all of you for taking the time to do so.

Creative Kids

I just love when children take the lead and do some pretty creative things all on their own.
No adult suggestions. No adult guidance. No lesson plans. No prepped craft.
Just creative kids!

One child started decorating the tree with flowers and the rest joined it!
Very pretty!

An Enchanted Childhood Playschool ~ April 29th-May 3rd

Each week we spend more and more time outside.

On this particular day the children took our nature bags and went in search of all sorts of nature:
dandelions, violets, dried tulip petals, buttercups, pinecones, grasses....

After gathering all sorts of lovely nature,
the children glued them to cardstock to make a nature picture!

While out and about we stopped by Poppaw John's garden!
Our peas are up!!

We nibbled onions and lettuce and brought some back for lunch!

And like every time we visit the garden, the little ones MUST hunt worms.
Poopaw John is a good sport!

Climbing, creeking, and rolling down hills makes up the rest of our mornings!

**I'd like to thank Carla for reminding me how much fun Nature Art can be!

Each Day

Sunny days make for busy, dirty, little girlies.

We have been spending hours outside every sunny day.

Oh how lovely the childhood spent in nature.

Oh how lovely the adulthood, as well.

At the end of the day the bathwater is a dingy shade of brownish green.

Bunny and Squirrel fall asleep easily. Resting up for the next day's adventures.

In my washer, I sometimes find six dirty dresses from one sunny day.

And on rainy days, in my dryer, I sometimes find a little girl pretending to lay eggs in a nest.

We try to make the most of each day as it comes.

Wonderfull (Full of Wonder) Wednesday

Looking for the wonder in everyday life!
I'd love for you to join me on this journey.
If you find wonder along the way, please leave a link in the comments,
so others can share in your wonder!

A worm in your hand + dandelions + a creek = A wonderfilled childhood!

If a child is to keep alive his inborn sense of wonder without any such gift from the fairies, he needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, excitement and mystery of the world we live in” ~ Rachel Carson
